Sydney Christmas Markets

Sydney may not have the centuries-old Christmas market traditions of Europe, but we’re quickly catching up. Each year more markets seem to appear and they start as early as October which allows you to get an early start on your Christmas shopping.

This guide covers the best Christmas markets in Sydney, from the CBD to the suburbs and even a few worth the drive in regional NSW. In a hurry, skip to the table where we have listed the markets in date order.

The team behind the Good Food & Wine Show brings this special Christmas market to ICC Sydney. Martin Place Christmas Market

In its second year, the Martin Place Christmas Market will bring 40 of Cambridge market’s best operators to the city centre to help you squeeze your Christmas shopping into your lunchtime or commute. This market is perfect when you are entertaining friends after a busy day at work.

The Rocks Christmas Markets

If you are not quite feeling the Christmas love, a visit to the Rocks Christmas Markets is bound to change that.

The markets feature elves on stilts, light-up angels, live music and DJs and, of course, delicious holiday-themed, gourmet street food. All up over 70 stalls for your Xmas shopping (and eating) needs!

The Finders Keepers Summer Market

The Finders Keepers Summer Market is a fab spot to do your Christmas shopping, while technically not a Christmas Market. This market events are a celebration of creativity, and slow-made and conscious shopping from local makers and designers, featuring everything from ceramics to art, fashion to food.

When: 14-16 November 2025

Tickets: $6 daily entry. Kids under 13 are free.

Christmas at the Cathedral

The Christmas at the Cathedral has been a hit since day one, but last year they introduced a market stalls and it really added to the event, so this year they are back. Stalls with delicious food and drinks, Christmas goodies, and loads of entertainment for the little ones. Rain or shine, this outdoor event in the Cathedral’s forecourt on College St will run for 12 consecutive nights.

Mosman Twilight Christmas Market

Christmas shopping, an evening stroll, and dinner at the food stalls are all perfectly good reasons for visiting Mosman this December.

A quality art and craft market is located in the heart of one of Sydney‘s finest shopping precincts, the Mosman market will feature over 130 art and craft stalls, with gourmet food, ambient music and a lively atmosphere.

Ryde Christmas Market

The annual Ryde Christmas Market transforms the scenic Ryde Wharf Reserve into a festive wonderland. This special holiday edition of the popular Ryde Wharf Market offers an expanded selection of boutique stalls against a stunning harbourside backdrop.

Visitors can browse artisan goods, festive decorations, fashion, jewelry, children’s gifts, and gourmet food while enjoying live Christmas carols. Annual Lindesay Christmas Gift Fair

Now in its 23rd year, the Lindesay Christmas Gift Fair returns to this elegant 1834 harbourside villa for three days of festive shopping and entertainment. This National Trust (NSW) fundraising event transforms the historic house, cellar and gardens into a Christmas shopping destination.

Double Bay Christmas Festival

The Double Bay Christmas Festival transforms Steyne Park into a festive wonderland, featuring over 100 carefully curated market stalls. This sophisticated Christmas celebration combines shopping, entertainment and seasonal cheer.

The market showcases high-quality vendors offering:

One of Sydney’s most vibrant urban hubs comes alive for a special evening of festive celebrations at the Green Square Twilight Christmas Market. Heart of Randwick Christmas Market

The historic Heritage Quarter in Randwick will transform into a festive wonderland for this twilight Christmas market. Presented by Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct and Cambridge Markets, this new addition to Sydney’s Christmas calendar promises a carefully curated selection of stallholders and festive entertainment.

Christmas Markets in the Inner West & Western Sydney

European Christmas Market Ashfield

Experience a slice of European Christmas tradition at the Polish Club Ashfield’s annual market. Held in the Grand Salon, this indoor market brings together traditional foods, crafts, and entertainment for a festive winter-style celebration.

Feast on authentic Polish delicacies including pierogi (cheese or meat dumplings), kielbasa (Polish sausages), pączki (jam-filled doughnuts), and European cakes. Camden Christmas Festival

Camden’s annual Christmas celebration transforms the town center with carnival rides, market stalls, live entertainment and workshops. Highlights include a Christmas Grinch show, tree lighting ceremony, Santa photos, and over 20 food vendors.

Kids can enjoy gingerbread decorating, slime workshops, and music lessons, while adults browse handmade gifts and artisan products at the Christmas market.

Christmas Markets in the Southern Suburbs and Shire

The Cronulla Christmas Market

One of Sydney’s largest and most anticipated Christmas markets returns to Don Lucas Reserve, bringing the festive spirit to the beachside. With over 200 stalls, this two-day event combines Christmas shopping with coastal charm, creating a unique summer holiday atmosphere.

Central Coast Christmas Market

The Coast’s biggest Christmas event returns to a new location at Gosford Showgrounds, bringing festive cheer with over 100 handcrafted market stalls. The market features singing and dancing elves creating a magical atmosphere for shoppers of all ages.
