Spending Christmas in the Blue Mountains is a fantastic idea! If you are visiting Sydney or don’t have a big family to celebrate with, a Christmas getaway to the mountains is the perfect way to make the holiday special. We have stayed at several of the places we have included although not for Christmas but can voucher for their hospitality and comfort.
Christmas Dining in the Blue Mountains
If you are planning on being in the mountains for Christmas, I would not hold off on making a decision on where to eat for long. The best spots are snapped up quickly with some popular venues like the Fairmont Resort and Victoria and Albert Guest House selling out a month before the event.
Jamisons View Restaurant – Mountain Heritage Hotel
Hotel Mountain Heritage, one of the original grand hotels of the region, will host a six-course dinner on Christmas Eve.
Enjoy a traditional Christmas feast that will feature orange bourbon glazed ham off the bone with all the Christmas trimmings. There will also be herb crusted lamb rack and plum pudding. A full vegan menu is also available.
Christmas Day will also include a visit from Santa and live festive entertainment.

Christmas High Tea
If you are in the mountains before Christmas don’t miss the chance to enjoy high tea at Bygone Beauties.
A Devonshire tea or full English high tea is available and of course you can explore the stunning teapot collection while you are there.

Metropole Guesthouse
